Forest Meadows golf course was designed by renowned master, Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and is open to the public. The course's 18 holes have a unique character that reflects the wonder of the mountain forest surroundings. With one par 5 and two par 4's breaking up the predominantly par 3 course, a game can be played quickly. However, don't let the short course fool you. The rugged terrain and unique holes offer a rewarding challenge to better golfers while still providing plenty of basic shots for the beginning player.

Some fairways are set deep within the pines, cedars, and great oaks. Others play across the high meadowland. The 14th and 15th holes take you to the edge of the Stanislaus River Canyon, inviting you to take a time out to enjoy the stunning vista.

The greens at Forest Meadows are mostly large and lightly contoured. The greens are penncross bent grass, a hybrid grass developed at the University of Pennsylvannia that is well suited to mountain courses like Forest Meadows golf course. The challenging fairways are blue grasses and fescues, and feature extensive themed landscaping.
Local pro Norbert Wilson is ready to provide you and your visitors with expert advice on improving your game. Of course, the well appointed pro shop has the latest in golf supplies and equiptment.
After your game, stop by Arbuckles Restaurant & Lounge for cocktails or a relaxing dining experience. Conveniently located adjacent to the pro shop, Arbuckles overlooks the 18th green and is available for parties and special events.
